I am Bethany Larson, the school social worker at Olson Middle School! This is my fifth year working in Minneapolis. Prior to this, I worked at a charter school in St. Paul and facilitated in-home skill building sessions with kids and families in Iowa.
I received a Bachelor of Social Work from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a Master of Social Work from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and hold a PK-12 School Social Work License.
I became a school social worker because I believe that all students should feel good about school. It is my job to help advocate for student needs and support students through any tough times they are having in life. If you or your student ever needs any resources or support, please feel free to reach out to me.
