RIF
Olson participates in the federally subsidized RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program.  Through RIF, we are able to purchase new books at a greatly reduced price.  3 times each school year, students are able to choose one of these new books.  These 3 books become the student's to read and keep.  RIF supports our goal of creating great readers.  It allows students to choose a book that is interesting to them and encourages them to read more.  At Olson, we have a saying: "The more you read, the smarter you get." 

Our RIF books for the 09/10 school year have just arrived (11/09).  Our first book give-away will occur before the winter break.  Ask your Olson student about the book they chose!
